Christina and Jonathan Chance founded City NewsCasts (WBE/DBE) in 2002 as a full service government outreach company offering news and alert systems, video productions, streaming video and web TV videos. Both Christina and Jonathan are also reserve deputy sheriffs who are able to customize our news products for the police industry.

Christina's background spans 30 years in the government computer and security field. Her strong technical and programming background and knowledge of government contracting requirements allows her to offer our government clients the peace of mind of contract compliance and vendor awareness of governmental policies and procedures for smooth running projects and meeting deadlines on time and on budget targets.

Christina has worked in the computer industry on such programming projects as the Space Shuttle guidance, control and navigation systems (GNC), designed and negotiated the contracts for a million dollar secure (to SECRET) computing laboratory for the Sea Wolf Nuclear submarine on-board systems and managed the SECRET laboratory as SSO. She also created SOPs and managed computer system clusters on the military network, then known as "milnet", for a NASA laboratory before it became the internet we know today. Her background also includes training at the FBI Academy for cyber terrorism and forensics.

As a her own certified CMAS contractor for the State of California, in the past 13 years, Christina's IT team helped to build out and project manage a California Department Of Justice network system and document and train narcotics officers in the use of new secure database systems. In addition to her B.A. in Mathematics and M.A. in Computer Science and Fine Arts, Christina also holds training credentials as a Microsoft Certified Trainer, FEMA Anti-terrorism instructor, and certificated secondary and college instructor.

Jonathan is an award winning news reporter and producer whose talents have been featured in Los Angeles on radio stations, KABC, KFWB, KNX and in San Francisco on KGO Radio. In addition, during breaking news stories, his talents have been called upon by various national radio and television news networks including CBS, ABC, MSNBC, CNN and AP News.

In 2001 the Radio and Television News Association presented Jonathan with the prestigious Golden Mic Award for his coverage of the 9/11 Attacks On America. Jonathan's "on-the-spot" coverage of breaking news, distinctive voice, production and writing style has positioned him as a trusted reporter and producer on radios and televisions throughout California and the U.S.

Along with his distinguished broadcast credentials, Jonathan is also a certified POST / FEMA / DHS instructor.
